Overview

Selah ("the App") is a daily Christian verse and reflection application developed by Miguel Pinero. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data and is intended to comply with Google Play's requirements.

Data Collection

The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers. All data remains on your device.

During onboarding, the App may ask for the following information to personalize your experience:

  • Name (optional) — used only to personalize greetings within the App.
  • Gender (optional) — used to tailor content recommendations.
  • Age range (optional) — used to tailor content recommendations.
  • Preferred time — used to schedule local notifications at your chosen time.
  • Spiritual topics — used to match daily verses to your interests.

This information is stored locally on your device using SQLite and AsyncStorage. It is never sent to any server, API, or third party.

Data Storage

All user data, preferences, verse history, and favorites are stored exclusively on your device. The App operates fully offline and does not require an internet connection.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporting tools, or tracking technologies embedded in the App.

Notifications

The App uses local notifications (via the device's operating system) to remind you of your daily verse at your preferred time. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external push notification service.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require account creation or any form of authentication.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all App data at any time by:

  • Clearing the App's data through your device settings, or
  • Uninstalling the App.

No data needs to be deleted from any server, as no data is ever transmitted off your device.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
